LOCTITE Silicone Black is a single component, adhesive, room temperature vulcanising silicone elastomer. It has been designed specifically for use as a bonding agent to ensure perfect sealing, as well as bonding and protection.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Designed primarily for bonding/sealing in industry. For example, sealing side windows in trains, sealing heat sources (ovens, heat exchangers, steam circuits and water heaters). Also for protection/insulation of electrical boxes, bonding of HCR silicones and in the general care and maintenance applications in various fields.

Directions for use
Silicone Black should be applied as a bead to a clean surface. Assemble parts within 15 minutes. When joint is assembled pressure should be applied to spread the adhesive out and fill the joint completely. The bond should be allowed to fully cure (e.g. seven days), before subjecting to heavy service loads.

Storage
Product shall be ideally stored in a cool, dry location in unopened containers at a temperature between 8°C to 21°C (46°F to 70°F) unless otherwise labelled. Optimal storage is at the lower half of this temperature range. To prevent contamination of unused product, do not return any material to its original container. For further specific shelf life information, contact your local Technical Service Centre.
