Wynn’s Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner, for consumer use, is a chemical treatment for diesel engines that reduces soot emissions, cleans and regenerates the particulate filter.
Reduces soot formation during the fuel combustion cycle.
Clears and regenerates blocked soot filters without dismantling.
Complete burn-off of soot particles during driving.
Avoids frequent maintenance costs related to the manual regeneration of the blocked soot filter.
Optimizes combustion and lowers fuel consumption.
Especially suited for city driving cycles.
Can be used in combination with built-in regeneration systems.
For diesel engines with all types of diesel particulate filter.
For diesel and biodiesel up to B30.
Only add to the fuel tank!
Add one bottle of 325 ml to minimum 40 liters of diesel. Add every 3rd tank filling or 3000 km.
In case you normally drive only very short distances (less than 1 km or stop-and-go driving), it is advised to drive longer distances (preferably more than 10 km) to have a complete regeneration.
What about built-in regeneration systems for the soot filter ?
Some vehicle manufacturers equip their diesel engines with a built-in small tank containing an additive that is automatically added to the fuel to clean the soot filter. Pouring Wynn’s DPF Cleaner in the fuel tank causes no problems for the built-in regeneration system. On the contrary, it will reinforce the regeneration of the filter.
Other systems for regenerating the DPF exist on the market. They require removal of one of the sensors and adding a product to the soot filter with special equipment.
With some of these systems a large quantity of product is injected in front of the soot filter. In the case of short drives, city traffic and traffic jams it is possible that a significant quantity of the product remains in the filter and causes a defective soot filter, whilst water based products can cause corrosion of the filter housing.
